DO SVIDANYA

(Let Dreams Be Your Wings)

Farewell is the most awaited event in a student’s life. It was an exuberant day as the students of grade IX bid adieu to their seniors in the most remarkable way. The students looking gorgeous in their fancy suits and sarees walked into the venue, lead by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, their class teachers, and the staff secretaries.

The program began with a beautiful customary invocation dance, taking the audience into the realm of spirituality, followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony and the welcome speech given by the students of grade IX.

The range of programmes put up by the students was enthralling. The ‘skit’ was a delight to watch as it humorously summed up one year of a student’s life in COVID times. While the soulful ‘farewell song’, the energetic dance number kept the audience captivated, the highlight of the program ‘Live Art’ was the icing on the cake.

The farewell programme took a solemn turn with the Oath-taking ceremony led by our principal Rev Fr.Jabamalai. The ethics of a true Desalite was reiterated to the students so that these guiding words should always illuminate the students’ path.
After the pledge, the students sang the ‘School Anthem’ proudly for their Alma Mater.

The class teachers of both sections of X were invited to share a few words. The emotional thread that was woven at that time engulfed the students with good memories. The atmosphere lightened up, as the outgoing students expressed joyful gratitude to the faculty and management and shared the memories of their school life.

The students were presented with the mementos as a token of love and appreciation.

The Principal in his speech urged the students to passionately follow their dreams. He asked the students never to lose hope and encouraged them by citing examples from his life.

The Pogramme culminated with the ‘vote of thanks’ followed by the National Anthem.
