Desfida 2023

Sports play a pivotal role in imparting discipline and valuable life lessons to students. This year, the Annual Sports Meet of the Kindergarten wing at St. Francis De Sales Public School ICSE & ISC was held on 7th and 8 th September, 2023. The event revolved around the theme of ‘Little Olympians.’

The sports meet on September 7th commenced with a solemn school prayer, followed by a melodious prayer song performed by the enthusiastic students of LKG. Mrs. Gracy , a dedicated educator, shared the significance of Sports Day with everyone present. The event had the honour of hosting Vishnu Priya as the Guest of Honour and Rev. Fr. Binoy, our esteemed Principal, who presided over the function and delivered an inspiring speech, motivating all the young Desalites with his words of wisdom.

In a symbolic gesture, Desfida champions of last year, accompanied by Ms. Jennifer, the P.E Teacher, carried the torch around the sports ground and lit the cauldron, officially inaugurating the annual sports day. The sports events of the day were divided into three categories and featured a range of exciting competitions, including the Hurdle race, Swift Relay race, Balancing race, Dress- up race, Pick 'n' run race, Zig Zag race, Packing Bag race, and Running race. The Pre-KG, L.KG, and U.KG students participated in all these events with boundless enthusiasm.

The second day of the sports meet continued the splendour and generated countless cherished memories through a series of meticulously organized sports events. The names of the winners were officially announced and felicitated on September 22nd, recognizing the outstanding achievements of the young champions in Pre- KG, LKG, and UKG. These deserving champions were celebrated and honoured with the Champions mascot.

The Annual Sports Meet of the Kindergarten wing at SFS Public School, ICSE & ISC, served as a platform for nurturing discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the students. It was a grand success, instilling the spirit of sports and competition in the hearts of our Little Olympians.
