CISCE Regional Basketball Tournament Boys 2024

The CISCE Regional Basketball Tournament for Boys was held from June 28 to June 30, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Public School, Hebbagodi, organized by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The event saw participation from numerous schools across Karnataka, with competitions in Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19 categories.

The tournament began on June 28 with registration and document verification, followed by an inauguration ceremony at 8:45 a.m. The ceremony included a prayer song, welcome speech, lighting of the lamp, and a vote of thanks, with Rev. Fr. Majish Mathew, Principal of SFS High School, Hebbagodi, as the Chief Guest. Matches commenced on five courts, with 25 referees officiating, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules.

The Under 17 matches progressed till the quarter-finals on the first day, while the Under 19 matches reached the semi-finals. On June 29, the Under 14 and Under 17 teams competed, with matches progressing to the quarter-finals and semi-finals, respectively. The final day featured the semi-finals and finals, of Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19. Meals were meticulously arranged for participants each day, ensuring they had the energy to perform their best.

The tournament concluded with a closing ceremony, where prizes were distributed by Rev. Fr. Binoy, the Principal of the host school. Vidya Niketan School emerged victorious in both the Under 14 and Under 17 categories, while St. Mary's International School claimed the Under 19 title. The event was highly appreciated for its organization and the hospitality provided by St. Francis de Sales Public School.

The success of the CISCE Regional Basketball Tournament for Boys-2024 was largely due to the dedication and coordination of referees, organizers and volunteers. Their collective efforts ensured a smooth and memorable experience for all participants, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of young basketball players across Karnataka.
