"Every child is special; every child is unique." To celebrate the uniqueness of each
Desalite and make their presence truly special, Children's Day was joyously observed on
the 10th of November, 2023 at St. Francis De Sales Public School. The theme ‘Buds of
today, blooms of tomorrow.’ aimed to beautifully encapsulate this sentiment. The special
day commenced with an energetic band performance led by teachers. The dignitaries
present, including Rev. Fr. Binoy, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Santosh, Chief Guest, Mr. Noel
Borges, the CCO, all the Coordinators, of ISC, High School, Primary, and Kindergarten
wings, as well as School Cabinet members, were warmly welcomed.
A brief introduction about Children’s Day set the tone for the celebration, followed by an
invocation dance gracefully choreographed by teachers. Mrs. Radhai, the Coordinator of
Kindergarten extended words of welcome, leading to the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Teachers added a melodious touch to the event with a special selection of songs to wish
children. Rev. Fr. Santosh mesmerized the crowd with a captivating saxophone
performance that captivated the attention of every child.
To add humour into the celebration, teachers engaged in different scenes that elicited
laughter from the audience. The entertainment continued with an informative fashion
show conducted by several teachers, followed by a lively boogie dance performed by the
male staff of the school. In an effort to evoke the bygone era of movies and
entertainment, teachers sang multilingual songs and a spectacular performance by a group
of teachers had everyone tapping their toes. The CCO addressed the gathering with
encouraging words and also the Principal expressed his gratitude to each teacher for their
fantastic contributions.
After a day filled with entertainment, the program concluded with a vote of thanks by
General Coordinator Mrs. Bincy followed by national anthem.
