Desparta 2024-25, the annual sports meet of SFS Public School, was celebrated with immense enthusiasm on 29th and 30th October 2024. With the theme ‘Compete with heart, win with pride’, the event highlighted the importance of physical activity, sportsmanship, and unity.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Mr. Girisha H N, renowned Indian athlete, and the Guest of Honour, Fr. Robin, Administrator of SFS Degree College. The ambience was perfectly set with a prayer song by Grade IX B and D students, followed by the hoisting of the school flag and the lighting of the Olympic torch, symbolizing unity and peace. The Inter-House March Past was a key highlight, showcasing discipline and teamwork. Rev. Fr. Binoy, the principal of the school administered the oath, reaffirming the commitment to fair play. The event featured a stunning drill dance and motivational speeches by the dignitaries. Competitions included track events like 50m, 100m, and 200m races, alongside team sports such as basketball, football, and volleyball, ensuring participation across all age groups.

The closing ceremony honored Subedar Abhishek Y P, a basketball icon, as the esteemed Chief Guest. Winners were celebrated and acknowledged with medals and certificates during the awards ceremony. Neptune House secured the overall championship, while Saturn House emerged as runners-up.

The meet concluded with heartfelt expressions of gratitude, followed by an inspiring address from the principal. The day ended on a patriotic note with the playing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone filled with the true spirit of sportsmanship and unity among all participants.
