On June 5th, 2024, SFS Public School ICSE & ISC celebrated Environment Day with the
theme "Our Land, Our Future." The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the
importance of the environment and the necessity of its protection. The event saw enthusiastic
participation from Rev. Fr. Binoy, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Albin P. Mathew, the Chief Guest of
the day and the faculty of SFS Degree College, and other staff members.
The highlight of the day was a cultural program organized by the students of Classes VII A &

emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation. The Chief Guest, Fr. Albin P.
Mathew, delivered an inspiring speech, urging students to take active steps in saving the
earth. Principal Fr. Binoy also addressed the gathering, elaborating on the vital role the
environment plays in our lives and encouraging everyone to take initiatives to preserve it.
As part of a special Environment Day initiative, the principal announced a sapling
distribution drive. Students were tasked with distributing saplings to the public, spreading the
message of plant conservation. Teachers were given special badges featuring the year's
theme, "Our Land, Our Future," and students carried placards displaying awareness
messages.
Following the Principal's guidance, saplings were distributed to all faculty members and
house mothers on the same day. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the
national anthem, leaving everyone with a reinforced commitment to environmental
stewardship.
