St. Francis De Sales Public School celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on 9th November
2024 with immense enthusiasm and cultural pride. The event was graced by renowned
playback singer and voice artist Ms. Sparsha RK, known for her contributions to the
Kannada film industry, as the Chief Guest.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the Karnataka state flag, followed by
the soulful rendition of the state anthem, setting the tone for the day's festivities.
Students showcased the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka through vibrant folk songs
and energetic dance performances. The highlight of the event was the captivating
‘Huli Vesha’ (Tiger Dance), which mesmerized the audience with its vigour and
traditional charm.
Ms. Sparsha RK appreciated the school's dedication to preserving and promoting the
Kannada language. She not only encouraged students to embrace their linguistic
heritage but also enthralled the gathering with her melodious singing. Her heartfelt
appeal to learn and speak Kannada resonated deeply with everyone present. The event
