Melange 2024-25

‘Art is a Journey, not a destination’

St. Francis School proudly hosted Melange 2024, a vibrant literary and cultural festival that spanned three days, from 22nd to 24th August. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and foster overall development.

The fest commenced with an impressive Opening Ceremony on the 22nd, graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Bijesh Thomas OSFS, Principal of De Sales Academy, Bangalore, and Ms. Ankita Kundu, a renowned playback singer in the South Indian film industry, as the Guest of Honour. The event was held in the presence of the school’s dynamic Principal, Rev. Fr. Binoy, along with other distinguished guests and enthusiastic Desalites. The programme began with an introductory speech by the Principal. Following this, Rev. Fr. Bijesh Thomas OSFS, the Chief Guest, officially inaugurated the event after delivering an inspiring speech that encouraged students to explore their talents through active participation.

Melange 2024 featured a diverse range of exciting individual and group competitions, including Elocution, Poetry Slam, Solo Song, Dance, Show & Tell, Fancy Dress, and many more. The festival was further enriched by a captivating live performance from Ms. Ankita Kundu, whose melodious voice left the audience enthralled.

The Closing Ceremony, held on the 24th of August, welcomed Ms. Jozina Braggs, Vice Principal of Sacred Heart School, Bangalore, as the Chief Guest. The final day showcased thrilling group events such as Debate, Quiz, Group Dance, Group Song, and the highly anticipated Fashion Show, which was the highlight of the day.

In a fiercely competitive spirit, Mercury House emerged as the overall champion, while Neptune House claimed the runners-up position, bringing Melange 2024 to a glorious conclusion. The Chief Guest, Ms. Jozina Braggs, officially declared the Melange Meet 2024-25 closed, and the programme ended with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to every member of the Desalite family for their invaluable contributions to the success of the programme
