Professor D. Pampapathi, the yoga instructor demonstrated various asanas along with the students. He also performed on stage some of the common yoga asanas like Surya Namaskar, Sirsasana- the headstand, Sarvangasana- the shoulderstand, Paschimottanasana- the forward bend, Salabhasana, the locust etc.
The celebration concluded with a speech by the Chief Guest of the day, Professor Bramaramaba, who spoke about the importance of practicing yoga in our daily life. Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, the Principal of our school also encouraged the students and teachers to practice yoga regularly as it helps to manage stress which keeps one calm in mind and contributes to the overall fitness of a person.
